Starter Thread - New to Arthropocalypse?

DM: Alright you approach the bee colony. Workers are buzzing around in the hundreds. What do you do?
Billy: I'm a fucking Emperor Scorpion! I attack the sentries!
John: Dude, Chris is a fucking giant hornet. Don't those things eat bees in the hundreds?
DM: Uh...
Chris: I join in! Death to the queen!
John: Might as well. Tarantula rolls for initiative.
Gwen: Sorry I'm late guys! I had to look up some information for my character sheet!
Billy: Hymenopus coronatus? Wow, what a typical girl.
DM: Shut up Billy.
Billy: I sting her for rolling up such a girly character.
DM: SHUT UP BILLY
*HACKAN AND SLASHAN*
DM: You finish skittering through the tunnel. There's a cavernous room, and in it you see... a giant centipede!
Chris: Awesome.
John: Any of you have anything that can get through its carapace? 'cuz I don't.
Gwen: Not much help here. I think we have to go for the face.
Billy: I sting Gwen because praying mantises are for pussies.
DM: Dude I told you to cut that shit out.
Billy: But our creatures instinctively hate each other!
Gwen: Bullshit, when the hell do praying mantises run into scorpions?
Chris: She's right man.
Billy: EMPEROR SCORPION'S WORD IS LAW.
DM: That's it. Everyone reverts to predatory instinct! Roll for initiative against Billy!
John: But what about the centi-
Chris: I rolled a 20.
DM: VESPA MANDARINIA STINGS YOUR SCORPION IN THE EYE. ROLL A NEW CHARACTER.

And thus was born the beginnings of Arthropocalypse.

Eventually, enough fa/tg/uys decided that the lack of this game was a travesty that must be fixed. So we got into shi/t g/ets done mode and made a start. Now it's your turn to pitch in. Check the forums out, make some suggestions, get involved. Do your part, for great justice. Every bug go!
