Wormlog, an arthropod city Empty Wormlog, an arthropod city

Here's my idea for a anrtho 'city'.

History Of Wormlog:
Wormlog has rested on the forest floor for as long as anyone can remember. Founded by a group of worms who decided to cease their wandering and settle down, Wormlog began as a simple waypoint, were arthros of all kinds could mingle and exchange bits of news and locations of feeding grounds. Later, the rotting log grew into a veritable arthropod metropolis, with ants rubbing shoulders with beetles, and worms holding conversations with bees. When the spiders moved in, the prey community waited with baited breath. A funnel weaver by the name of Argos carved out a niche for himself and his kinsmen, entrapping prey with their webs when they were foolish enough to wander into the Spider Quarter, as it came to be called. Later, the worms held council, forcing the spiders and other predators to adhere to strict hunting and feeding laws or face extermination. Argos agreed, and the predators and prey now live in relative peace. Two years later, a coalition of various ant colonies sought to capture Wormlog for their despotic Queen. The residents of Wormlog banded together, driving the attackers off in the Battle of Wormlog. During the conflict, a wolf spider stole away into her chamber, and killed the Queen, ending the war.

Argos and the Spiders make their living as the 'enforcers' of Wormlog. The law there is harsh, the only punishment is to be eaten. Argos keeps his kin in check knowing that should they overstep their bounds, the combined might of Wormlog's inhabitants could force them out. On more then one occasion an overzealous or overly hungry spider has been turned on by his cousins, a fatality in keeping to the finely honed line between predator and enforcer.

Oh, I like this idea!
As far as other 'city' concepts: how do you like the idea of a thriving metropolis built in and around the ancient, rusting hulk of an abandoned automobile? Harvesting the seat cushions for cloth and insulation, maybe even starting to learn the rudiments of metalworking by scraping chips from the car frame itself?

Hell, if the windows are mostly intact, then the car body itself would serve as a nearly-impregnable fortress - only the air vent systems as a way in or out.

That's pretty awesome also, would be cool describing it as the Arthro's see it, piece by piece and watch as it slowly dawns on the players that it's a car...
